A Poem: Free Verse Poetry

 Unrequited

The water has scared the girl.

She is afraid of being drowned by it.

Dodging is the best decision to keep the body.

Worry and fear always haunt her mind.

Every time she is close to that world.

She did not thought about it before.

That ocean has made her fall.

Fell so deeply.

Someone changed her perspective on the ocean.

He is the most bewitching and brave starfish.

So brave as to be able to make her love both.

The ocean and him.

A spooky ocean.

The word remains imprinted in the mind.

And, he changed everything.

He considered himself as the prince of the ocean.

The sound of waves.

The dark blue or light blue of the ocean.

The white sand.

Every moment she stared at the ocean.

Reminds her of her enchanting starfish.

The owner of her heart.

Stars, he shines and enlightens.

Enlighten and bring to life a place that has been wrecked.

A place that the owner has neglected.

A place that has many scratches and bruises.

A place that is difficult for anyone to touch.

But he succeeded.

Ambition and courage had flowed strongly in his blood.

However, he did not know.

The starfish did not know anything.

He never knew anything about the heartfelt girl and her rhymes.

The girl, should not love the ocean.

The girl, should not love a prince of the ocean.

The girl, should not fall in love with the starfish’s mysterious actions.

The girl, should have gone as far as possible from the ocean.

But she did not, she still waited for her heartbreak for sure.

They, having been born different.

Can not be together.

Can not come together.

And the reality ne

ver broke down the girl’s hopes, in the slightest.
